CCNA Certification
No CommentsCCNA Certification
In order to qualify as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), you must pass a basic certification. The CCNA exam is the base of the hierarchy of Cisco certifications–a prerequisite to more advanced Cisco training. In order to qualify as a CCNA, you must demonstrate facility with a number of protocols, including TCP/IP, WAN and LAN management, as well as the latest routing protocols.
The CCNA test itself is administered by computer. It consists of 60 questions, and you get 90 minutes to complete the exam. The test adapts to your performance, seeking to highlight areas where you are weak. In addition to its multiple-choice and matching questions, the CCNA test offers lab questions through a virtual network. You need to answer both routing and troubleshooting questions.
When you qualify for CCNA certification, you can then try for more advanced levels of professional designation. Currently, CCNA holders are allowed to keep their certifications for three years without retaking the test.
